VEB.RF is engaged in a continuous and constructive global dialogue, inspired by the need to achieve a more resilient and inclusive world economy. VEB.RF, being a key development institution of Russia, is involving more and more into the global development agenda to contribute to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
VEB.RF assures financing (loans and industrial investments) into the main areas of the investment activity of VEB.RF within the current business model (infrastructure, high-tech industrial production, urban economy, digital transformation), actively participates in the implementation of Russia's foreign economic agenda (promotion of industrial exports, foreign investments and integration) and encourages cooperation with foreign and multilateral development institutions in tackling the economic difficulties and in sharing best practices in terms of sustainable investments.
At the center of the Corporation's international agenda is interaction with Development institutions of other countries, international Associations and Development platforms, International Organizations and expert community.
The institution has a long-standing collaboration with the United Nations and the OECD to promote sustainable, economic, social development and to protect the environment. VEB.RF works with or takes part in the UN Global Compact, UNEP FI, UNFCCC and other UN bodies and OECD Working Groups.
VEB.RF is a member of the International Development Finance Club (IDFC), the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE), the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) and other platforms, uniting development institutions from all over the world that aim at highlighting the key role of public development banks in financing the global sustainable, green and equal economy.
VEB.RF is active in collaborating with G20 business associations contributing to various aspects of sustainable development. It takes part in one of the main G20 workings groups – Infrastructure Working Group (IWG); is a member of the Business 20 Finance and Infrastructure Taskforce and the Energy, Sustainability & Climate Taskforce; and is the initiator of the G20 platform for the Development Institutions (D20) that merged with the Long-Term Investors Club (LTIC) to establish the D20-LTIC platform.
Inclusive development is a priority item on the agenda of the international policy of VEB.RF. International cooperation and uniting efforts will lead to the stronger economic cooperation and to the transformation of the global financial system towards sustainable development investments.
