Today on June 8, in the course of the 22nd Petersburg International Economic Forum, State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and OJSC Sukhoi Company signed two credit agreements worth 61 million US dollars and 34 million euros for a period of 8 years.
The Agreements were signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and OJSC Sukhoi Company General Director Mikhail Pogosyan.
Funds are being made available to finance the program to develop a new type of Sukhoi Superjets 100 to certify them and launch their mass production as well as establish an after-sales service system.
Under the Agreements Vnesheconombank is to act as a creditor of a large-scale investment project carried out by OJSC Sukhoi Company. The project is aimed at building a new competitive regional airliner equipped with the most advanced equipment allowing to ensure required performance efficiency of the plane.
This project’s implementation would make it possible to boost the Russian Federation’s status as the world’s center of aviation industry.
CJSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (a subsidiary of OJSC Sukhoi Company) is responsible for developing Sukhoi Superjets 100 and works in close contact with such major foreign partners as Alenia Aeronautica, Boeing, SNECMA, Thales, Liebherrand B/E Aerospace. In May this year they started flight tests of Sukhoi Superjet 100.
