On Vnesheconombank’s Participation in Building a Shipyard in the Primorsky Territory
The governance bodies of State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ approved the opening of a credit line with a drawdown limit of 1 billion rubles for a period of 1 year to OJSC the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center to finance the development of project documentation to implement the project aimed at building a heavy-tonnage shipyard on the basis of the Far-Eastern Zvezda Plant (OJSC), the city of Bolshoy Kamen, the Primorsky Territory.
The project provides for building on the territory of the Far-Eastern Zvezda Plant (OJSC) a new shipyard with a dry dock making it possible to construct heavy-tonnage vessels with a deadweight of up to 250 thousand tons (oil and LNG tankers) and other sea equipment to develop shelf sea. Construction work on building a new shipyard is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2010. An annual production program provides for constructing 3 to 6 heavy-tonnage vessels.
The construction of a new shipyard on the basis of the Far-Eastern Zvezda Plant provides for creating at least 2000 new jobs.
The credit agreement between Vnesheconombank and OJSC the Far-Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center is at the coordination stage.

In accordance with Russian Government’s Instruction the Russian Finance Ministry made a contribution of 21 billion rubles to the charter capital of State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’.
At present, Vnesheconombank’s charter capital is 383.5 billion rubles.
