Prior to coming to Vnesheconombank, Natalya Timakova worked for six years as Press Secretary for the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Deputy Chief of the Executive Office of the Russian Government. From 2008 to 2012, she was Press Secretary for the Russian President. From 2004 to 2008, Natalya was in charge of the Press and Information Office of the Russian President. From 1999 to 2004, she occupied top positions at the Government Information Department and Press Service of the Russian President. From 1995 to 1999, prior to joining the Civil Service, Natalya worked as a political correspondent for major state media (Interfax, Kommersant, Moskovskiy Komsomolets).
Natalya graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
