As part of a business trip to Orenburg, Vnesheconombank’s Chairman Sergey Gorkov and Orenburg Region Governor Yury Berg visited Ural Broiler poultry farm and held a meeting to discuss prospects for its further development. Vnesheconombank’s Chairman considers the poultry farm a unique local market player with high scores for performance. He believes the enterprise created with VEB’s support is not in need of crisis management today.
“It is my opinion that the company has handled the crises. The project is ramping up fast and generating good profit. The farm is developing stably and is capable of expanding its existing capacities and delivering larger scale production. The range of products the farm provides is diverse. Our objective is to pay more attention to developmental prospects,” he said. Speaking about the possible sale of the poultry farm, Sergey Gorkov sees a potential buyer as someone who is a strategic thinker, capable of analyzing key industry trends and investing further in the project.
There are seven projects for a total of RUB 27.8 bn implemented currently in the Orenburg region with Vnesheconombank’s support. The Bank has already provided RUB 19.2 bn. Priority areas include agribusiness, the defense industry, machine building, and transport engineering.
After the meeting, Sergey Gorkov gave a lecture at Orenburg State University on ground-breaking opportunities for the Russian economy. The lecture was streamed via live webcast.
