The Russian-Swedish Business Council

The Russian-Swedish Business Council (RSBC) was set up on September 6, 2011. An idea of creating such a Council was voiced in the course of talks between Russian Prime Minister V.V. Putin and Swedish Prime Minister F. Reifeldt on April 27 in Stockholm.

The Russian part of RSBC includes such companies and organizations as Rusnano, VTB Bank, Sberbank, RUSAL, the United Aircraft Construction Corporation, Gazprombank, Rostelecom and others. The Russian part of RSBC is headed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev. The Swedish part of RSBC includes such companies as Ericsson, IKEA, Oriflame, Scania and others. The Swedish part of RSBC is headed by Ericsson Concern President and CEO Hans Vestberg.

For the most part, the Russian-Swedish Business Council was created to promote Russian business to Swedish markets and raise Swedish investments for Russia, promote legitimate interests of Russian businessmen in their relations with Russian and Swedish official and commercial institutions.
